It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new principal of Fairview Elementary. I am truly honoured to become part of this community, which has already given me such a warm welcome! In just the few interactions I’ve had with staff, students and families so far, it’s become abundantly clear that this school is a unique and special place.
In these hallways, we consider success from a whole-child focus: academic, social/emotional and physical success. The truth that all students can succeed is a fundamental belief or educational philosophy that is reiterated during problem-solving, at staff development sessions, in our planning and as we talk with you over coffee. Our staff is dedicated to achieving excellence without exception. It is our individual and collective responsibility for each child’s success.
Playing our role as an Educator or Administrator in Fairview means that we approach each child’s achievement with a growth mindset. We are confident in the essential outcomes that are needed and we teach towards the expectation that they will flourish in their personal lives and within their communities.
We are eager to embrace your family and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. This year is going to be "GREAT" as we continue to provide experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant and builds relationships. As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-staff, students, and parents know that Fairview is where you belong.
My colleagues and I appreciate the trust that you’ve shown in us by sending your children here every day. Our partnership with you as their first and most important teachers means the world to us. We will do our best to ensure they have a fulfilling, happy and safe year. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
It is SUCH an honour to serve you and your child.
